The Afro-American Association Announcements
Four US presidents have received the prize: Theodore Roosevelt won the prize for his mediation in the Russo-Japanese war; Woodrow Wilson won for his crucial role in establishing the League on Nations, Jimmy Carter Jr. won for his decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts. The Foothill Afro-American Association would like to salute President Barack Obama on his recent win of the Nobel Peace Prize for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples. AAA is sponsoring Black History Month (February 2010) activities cumulating with our annual Black History Program Wednesday, February 17, 2009 in the Cafeteria at 6:00pm. We are inviting anyone to participate who would like to promote Black History and Culture. Please see Mrs. James in the counseling center for more details.
