Theory of Knowledge (TOK)

Theory of Knowledge is an epistemology course in which students analyze how we know by using perception, language, reason, and emotion in different subject areas ranging from math to religion.  Theory of Knowledge is one of three requirements in addition to the subject area tests required for the full diploma. The other two are CAS and the Extended Essay.  The Theory of Knowledge course grade is based on the Internal Assessment which is an oral presentation and the External Assessment which is a 1200-1600 word essay on a prescribed title.  The course is offered during zero period which meets from 6:45-7:24.  Students typically take the course the 2nd semester of their junior year and finish the 1st semester of their senior year.  For more information, click on the link below or contact the instructor, Mr. Shawn Kunasek in room F14 or at .
