Principal's Message
August 2024
Dear Trojan Family,
Welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year! As your proud principal here at Foothill High School, I look forward to working with you as we continue to champion the traditions and legacy that make Foothill High School the best place to be.
This is an exciting time for all our students—the Class of 2028 will be experiencing their first year as freshmen, our sophomores and juniors will be exploring new electives and working hard in their classes, and the senior Class of 2025 will be preparing to graduate and embark on new journeys in just a few short months. Regardless of where our students are here at Foothill, we will continue to support Foothill’s mission of providing a safe and inclusive learning environment that educates, empowers, and inspires all students to achieve high levels of learning and to become caring, respectful, responsible citizens who are college- and career-ready. By committing to the Trojan values of Focus, Honor, and Success, we strive to support you and your student on his or her path to success.
Inspiring student success is a collaborative effort, and we here at Foothill encourage you to become involved in the Foothill community to help our students be successful Trojans. You can do this by working closely with the teachers, counselors, and other support staff to ensure success in the classroom. You can also encourage your students to get involved with the various activities, athletics, and clubs that Foothill has to offer. We also hope you become involved in our parent booster group, Trojan Link, become a member of our School Site Council, or attend the various parent meetings we will host both during and after school throughout the year. By continuing to make connections with the dedicated teachers, counselors, support staff, and administrators here at Foothill, we can continue to foster the common goal of seeing our students be successful Trojans.
Every day, we are committed to our students experiencing the Latin phrase on our seal, Gaudium Eruditionis, or the joy of learning. Being a part of the Trojan Legacy is special, and we cannot wait to welcome you and your students back this school year. We look forward to making this year the best year yet in your student’s educational path.
Fight on, Trojans!
Sincerely,
Sydney A. Peterson
